Since the day that we were aware of the diagnosis, our little one has not been able to enjoy all the pleasures of a normal childhood and has had to fight against adversity. 

We have been knocking on doors looking for alternatives that can give the best possible opportunites of normal growth to our daugther.  We turned to the best specialists in Ecuador, Cuba and the United States, without recieveing any lasting solutions, apart from the harsh possibility of amputating her fragile leg.

Dr. Dror Paley, is an experienced doctor, who specializes in bone lengthening and reconstruction, and in 1986 introduced, the llizarov method in the U.S.A. and Canada.  He has perfomed more than 10,000 successful surgeries.

The health institute which he directs offers innovative solutions.  Under the direction of Dr. Dror Paley, the institute has developed over 100 new surgical proceedures for the reconstruction of bones and soft tissue, for dealing with post-traumatic limb injuries, and for lengthening or hardening and reconstructing of deformed bones (LRS), thus avoiding amputations, which is the alternative normally recommended in these cases.
The LRS surgury has changed the destiny of many children with Fibulra and Tibula Hemimelia, as they can now walk normally, without the need of a prothesis.

Desde el primer día que nos enteramos del diagnóstico, ha empezado nuestra lucha contra la adversidad; que no ha permitido que nuestra Princesa pueda disfrutar de los placeres de su niñez.
